In an effort to understand how the ideas that define Third Cinema can be applied in contemporary practices, this video essay reimagines the themes and strategies introduced by Third Cinema as individual tools in a tool kit. By examining contemporary projects close to my life, we will identify these tools and how we, as creators, can use them to strengthen our commitment to socially engaged media-making.
